Blue Storm 14u Adds Coaches Kelly Blethen (Bentson) and Mary Grace O'Neill
We are pleased to announce the addition of the Coaches to the 14U Blue Storm staff.
Kelly Blethen (Bentson)
Kelly is a former Division II player at Mercy College and has a Bachelor's degree (2014) in Mathematics and a Masters degree (2015) in Mathematics and Special Education. While playing at Mercy College, her primary positions were 1st Base and Pitcher and ranks 1st all-time in several categories, to include: 205 career hits, 587 at-bats, 115 RBIs, 38 Doubles. Kelly also ranks 2nd all-time in runs (95) and home runs (20). Kelly was a 2-year Captain at Mercy College and was also recognized by her alma mater, Brewster High School, on their Hall of Fame for Softball. Kelly is a highly regarded High School Teacher and JV Softball Coach.
Mary Grace O'Neill
Mary is a current Division I Fordham University softball player who just wrapped up her freshman season. She was a 5-year starter in softball at Pleasantville High School. Mary is a 4-time All-League and two-time All-Section honoree. As a sophomore in high school, she received honorable mention as a Westchester / Putnam All-Star. As a senior, she moved up to the First Team and served as team captain. She won League MVP and was named Second Team All-State during her senior year. Mary is a 2-time team MVP, and in 2021 was named as a pre-season Lower Hudson Valley Nine Who Shine. She was selected to the Diamond Nine Plus One team and was honored as the Section 1 post-season gamechanger after batting .730 during her senior campaign.
